Rice Cereal

This was our first attempt at giving him rice cereal. At first he was a bit confused and not sure what to think of it....and shortly thereafter he was NOT having it anymore! At least we gave it our best attempt and will try again in a few days.

4 Months!!!!

Time is flying by! Davin went in for his four month checkup today and he is doing really well...despite the fact he is getting over his first cold. He weighed in at 11lbs 13 oz and is now 24 3/4 inches tall! He is in the 50% for his height and just below the 25% for his weight. Dr. Cody was not concerned that he was below the 25% but he did suggest that we start giving Davin rice cereal two times per day to get him the calories he needs. Besides that though, Dr. Cody said Davin looked great and seemed to growing just like he should - and that is always nice to hear!
As each month passes we cannot believe how much he is changing and growing. Before we know it our little boy won't be so little anymore! We are trying to capture and remember each moment!!

He was sound asleep the other day and I though it was hilarious that his pacifier had fallen out and was smashed against his face :)

Valentines Treats

We had cousin Kyndle over on Valentine's while Tasha and Kenny went out for dinner. She is such a little spitfire and so much fun. I decided to decorate sugar cookies with her and she loved it! I had premade the cookies and mixed up some frosting in pink and purple - her favorite colors, had lots of sprinkles options and let her have at it. She kept piling all the sprinkles in the middle of each cookie, it was pretty funny.

Kyndle could not stand the idea that Papa was holding Davin and insisted that he hold her too...too cute!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Davin has gotten some fun new toys lately....Grammy got him a Johnny Jump-Up and he likes it, but not sure what to do with it yet. The first time I put him in it, he moved a little but then hung out and chewed on the side. It was pretty funny :)
We also bought him a Bumbo and he loves it! We usually set him up in it while we are eating dinner so he can join us - its very fun!

Kyndle - The Makeup Artist

Tonight Tawny decided to let Kyndle do her makeup and it was hilarious! Kyndle was very gentle, but wasnt really sure where she should be putting it....needless to say Tawny ended up with fun stripes and colors all over her face. It was too funny!

Laughs!

Davin has started laughing more frequently these days and today he has been cracking up! It is so cute!! I tried to capture him laughing at daddy and think I did a pretty good job - enjoy!!

Mt Bachelor 2009

We have been in Bend, OR since Friday afternoon and are having a wonderful time! We rented a house with Tasha, Kenny, Kyndle, Tawny, Travis, Betsy, George and my parents Steve & Diane. It has been great so far! We went snowboarding yesterday and it was beautiful weather. The sun was shining and even the mountain has not gotten much snow there was enough for us to get some good runs on. My mom hung out in the lodge all day with Davin, which was so nice for me. I was able to come in every few hours to feed him - not to mention we had a table all day thanks to her! It was great!! But honestly I have never seen the mountain so dead before. The weather was great like I said, but since there has not been much of a winter there really wasnt much snow....it was wonderful for us though - we didnt have to wait in lines or anything! Truly a first!
Today we are hanging around the house and having our own little Superbowl party. As usual we have way too much food, but knowing all of us, we won't be taking much home. We certainly know how to eat :) I am rooting for the Cardinals, but not for any real reason. To be honest I am not much of football fan, but I enjoy the food and parties...hahaha! And I always to have to choose a team, and the Cardinals name sounded better to me - I know I am a super dork, but it works :P
Tomorrow we are heading back up the mountain and I will be hanging in the lodge most of the day. I might do a few runs, but we will see. I tweaked my ankle pretty good yesterday and my mom is going cross-country skiing sooo....I am just going to go with the flow and enjoy the day no matter what I end up doing. This will be our last day on the mountain and we are heading home Tuesday. It is a short trip but by the time we leave we are ready to be back home.
