End of Summer

We officially closed up the houseboat this past weekend for the summer and it is bittersweet. We really had a short summer this year and I cannot believe its over, but at the same time I am ready to be home more to complete (and start) some projects around the house. We had a really nice final weekend on Trinity Lake - the weather was amazing, the company was fabulous, and the kids had a blast. We really could not have ended on a better note.

First Day of Preschool

Dav started his first year of preschool on Sept 6th! He is growing up so fast its amazing. He was SO excited to go and had no issues with Tav and I dropping him off and leaving that first day (and everyday since then). I think it was harder for me to walk away than it was for Dav. I guess that shows that he was very ready for this next step, and that makes us excited for this new journey with him.

Meow

I'm not really sure what we are thinking, but we just got 3 kittens yesterday...eek! I am SOO not a cat person, but want them for rodent control around the house. We had a cat (Fat Cat) for the past year or so that we had gotten from Tavs parents and he was amazing. He would always leave little "presents" on the doorstep to remind us that he was doing his job. As nasty as that was to clean up, he really was working hard. We had no gophers in the yard and very few mice, but I swear the week after he died we had gophers popping up all over! So here we are with THREE new kittens!! No names yet though, so I'll be sure to update again soon!

New resolution

I know its not the first of the new year, but its coming closer and will be here before we know it. I am not the type to stick to any new years resolutions anyways so I thought that if I start something now that I might have a better chance....right? Its been well over a year since I last posted on this blog and I would like to start it up again. I am not making any promises, but will try my best! I will be back soon!
