Well, I had a doctors appointment this morning.....
The doctor told me that the ultrasound results/pics all came back that the baby is doing really well and growing just like he should be. As for me though, I gained 7lbs over the last 4 weeks! Hahaha!! I asked if that was something I should be concerned about and he said "No, not at all." Thank goodness! He said at this stage - mid pregnancy - there is almost always a spike in weight gain due to the rapid growth of the baby. So I should begin to steadily gain weight from this point forward. I am actually not worried about it at all, as I have gained only 15lbs so far - which I think is pretty dang good considering all I have been eating! I just cannot seem to get full...it is rather frustrating!
On another note - Tav felt our son move for the first time last night! It was very exciting for both of us, and made me a bit teary-eyed. Now he gets to share in all the fun movements!! I cannot wait for him to grow even bigger and stronger so we can watch him move around :) So far this pregnancy has been so much fun!!

It's a BOY!!!!!

Oh wow! We had our ultrasound today and found out that yes, its true, we are having a boy!!!! The ultrasound picture is not the best, but I will post it anyways. The printer was all messed up and the tech did not give us any picture besides the one of his....you know.....penis. But I guess thats the important one! :) We did get to see all his other organs too, and he is perfect! Everything is where it should be, and he has all his fingers and toes. That is always reassuring to know!!
So many of you have told me from day one that we were having a boy.....and I had no intuition at all.....so you were right! We are SUPER excited!
I asked Tav if he was going to go out and buy his son a quad now, and he said "No" - phew! Haha :) We are both ready to start shopping a picking things out for his room, so that should be lots of fun.
For me, it has made this pregnancy more real....I know my belly has been growing and I feel him more and more everyday, but now its just more real. I don't know, its hard to explain. And now, we just cannot wait to meet him!!

This pic is pretty much of his "manhood". Haha :) He is laying on his back, with his head (not showing) on the left. That centipede looking thing is his spine, and his stomach is the large mass above that. You cannot see his legs or arms, but they really are there! His penis is that upside-down ice cream cone looking thing near the middle of the picture. Like I said - not the best picture, but its a picture none the less. Hope you all can figure it out!!

Ultrasound Scheduled!

We went to our routine doctors appointment today hoping that the doctor would do an ultrasound just because. But no, no ultrasound :( However, we are scheduled for one on June 19th, so hopefully the baby won't have its legs crossed so we can find out what we are having!!
We did get to hear the heartbeat though, and the baby sounded great with a rate of 151. The heartrate has always been above 150 - and according to the myths, heartrates over 150 ususally tend to be girls....so we will see!!

18 Weeks 1 Day

Today has been an interesting day so far. I went to put on one of my favorite pairs of jeans today, and lets just say they have been set aside for now with the hopes of being able to wear them again after the baby is born. At least I have several other pairs that will last for a while longer....I hope!
As for more exciting news - I think I have started to feel the baby move! I know it may be early, but most things I have read say some women can feel it this early on. They say it feels a bit like little gas bubbles, and those of you who know me - I KNOW what that feels like! Hahahaha!!! So, needless to say, it does feel different and its very exciting :) I cannot wait for the day that Tavis can feel it too, it will be so amazing!

Today was a good day! Tawny and I went shopping at this cute little shop called Expectations. They had so many cute clothes I wanted one of everything....but I was good and only came out with a few things. Tawny was so sweet and bought me a really nice pair of maternity jeans, and I ended up buying a second pair as well as some of those fancy belly band-pants expanders. I did not think I would need maternity pants so soon, but they are soooo comfortable! In fact I changed into them as soon as I got home! Hahaha :)

15 Weeks 3 days

I have decided I am going to try to post new belly pictures every 3 to 4 weeks. So the one above is me at 15 weeks 3 days. It may not look like its getting any bigger, but I swear it is! But I do keep waiting to wake up one day really looking pregnant, not just bloated!! Lol!!

Maui

We just spent a week on Maui and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the town of Lahaina with Tavis' family and could not have asked for a more relaxing vacation. We did pretty much nothing except hangout at our condo and enjoy the lanai - which was right on the ocean! It was incredible! Tavis and Kenny surfed everyday and I read 3 books during the week - something I rarely do at home! Hahaha :)

As you can see, we took some pictures of Tasha's & my belly....she definately looks pregnant - as for me....I look like I could use a few more situps. But hey, at least we all know the truth. No worries from me though, I know it will be more obvious soon (I'm just ready to be out of the awkward stage!).

First Ultrasound!

Today we had our first ultrasound and it was amazing! The doctor spent nearly an hour checking things out, making sure the baby and that other fun stuff in there looked good. He said that everything looked very healthy and the baby is doing really well. We were certainly excited to hear that!! He also confirmed our due date as October 28, 2008 - so we may have a Halloween baby....we shall see!
Tavis and I were both in awe of it all. We wish we could have an ultrasound every time we go to the doctors office, it is just so neat! We really were in awe of how well each body part was recognizable. It is amazing that something so small can already be developing that much!!

12 Weeks

I have one more week until I am out of my first trimester and I am really excited! These first few months really have not been that bad. I have mostly been tired beyond belief and all I want to do is lay down and sleep. So its been a change for me since I like to go to the gym, but my energy is just gone! There has been NO morning sickness at all - thank goodness!! I don't know what I would do if I had been sick all this time. I had days that if I got up too quick I would feel icky, but never to the point of vomiting.....hallelujah!! Besides being tired, the only other real symptom I noticed was that my breasts are incredibly tender - and they have already gone up a cup size! I don't even want to know how big they'll get once my milk starts coming in!!! It is going to be crazy! But all in all, this first trimester has been good to me. I really cannot complain because there are so many people who have had it much worse.
Just one more week and the first trimester will be over! Yay!

7 Weeks
