Okay, now that I feel pretty caught up with the past, its time to talk about whats new!
Since being home from vacation we have been staying busy at work and home. This is the time of year that work picks up so Tavis is slowly working longer days. He has no complaints yet about working too much but that always comes at the end of the busy season - check back in a few months and I will tell you how he is feeling then. As for me I easily jumped back into the same routine - work two days a week, excercise at the gym those same days, spend one day in town grocery shopping, and then enjoy the rest of the time at home with Davin. We have been very busy over the past few weekends too (another sign that summer is coming!).
We have been to memorials, baby showers, birthday parties, and still managed to get the landscaping and most of the backyard completed. Like I said, we have been BUSY! Just last Friday we seeded the backyard in hopes that we will have a nice lawn in time for Tawny and Travis' wedding shower that I am co-hosting. Once that grows in all we will have left (this year) is putting up a fence around the swingset so that we won't have to stress so much when Davin is outside running around - he will be caged in! Haha!
Speaking of Davin - where do I begin?? Have I mentioned he officially has six teeth? There are now four on top and two on the bottom. It is so funny to watch him chew now because everything gets pushed to the front of his mouth for the teeth to work on. So cute! He is also talking more and more everyday - literally. And I swear he understands nearly everything we say. This by far the best and most exciting time with him, we are loving the stage he is in right now! Just yesterday he saw an apple (just one of many words we have been trying to teach him - to no avail) and he said "appowhl" clear as day. Usually he trys to mimic everything we say, but sometimes he shakes his head no and refuses to play the copycat game. Apple was one of those words he never said - until yesterday. Crazy kid. But overall he is doing really well with everything and is trying really hard to communicate with us. He is constantly telling us "stories" and we nod our heads and say "really?", "mmm-hmmm", "oh", etc....just hearing him talk and seeing him learn is the best. We cannot wait to hear what his next (clear) word is - and don't worry I'll be sure you keep you all posted :)
