We spent Saturday doing a whole lot of nothing. Our main focus was to enjoy the sun, our boat, eat, drink and relax. And I'm pretty sure we accomplished that. This was Davin's first time to the lake since he has been born. He was a good little trooper on the drive up (as usual), but did not sleep too well. But as for the sleeping - he's never been the best sleeper so what did we expect? Besides the sleepless nights, he was great. He even went on his first boat ride. Wearing his life vest was not his favorite thing, but he didn't fuss too bad. And once we were in the boat, he was great! We let him lay down below the steering wheel thinking he would go to sleep....but instead he was wide awake - we were shocked. But on the way back from our little boating excursion, he completely passed out in my mom's lap. He was sleeping so well by the time we got back we decided to just let him stay in the boat - and he slept for 1 1/2 hours! Yes!!
Tavis and Kenny were even brave enough to surf behind the boat, and somehow they both managed to not fall in or get wet!! What studs! LOL :P
Sunday we had a wonderful Mother's Day breakfast - the guys cooked while the moms played with the kids. We had french toast, potatoes and fruit. It was delicious! Davin and Tavis got me a beautiful necklace and I love it. This was the first piece of jewelry I have gotten from Tavis since we've been married (almost 3 years ago!). So it was pretty special :D
The rest of the day was spent cleaning up the houseboat and getting it ready for the season. That was not a fun thing to do, especially on Mother's Day, but it was very necessary. By the time we were done, we felt pretty accomplished and ready for the summer!

I am so jelous that you were able to get up to the lake already! I wish our May wasn't so crazy. We have three birthdays and Rachelle's Graduation and then it is June, how scary:(
It sounds like you had a perfect first Mother's Day!
